College of Arts and Sciences
Dean's Postdoctoral Scholar Fellows
In order to prepare scholars for an academic position with a combined teaching and research mission at Research Intensive (R1) Classified Institutions, the College of Arts and Sciences offers a limited number of Dean’s Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowships through various departments in the college. The Postdoctoral Scholar is hired directly by a department in the college. These fellowships involve both teaching and research during the academic year, and summer effort is devoted completely to research. Scholars are assigned both a teaching and a research mentor and work with them to develop an Individual Development Plan. Scholars are eligible and encouraged to participate in professional development activities with the FSU Postdoctoral Association.
