Enrollment: Summer Hours Requirement

Students transferring to FSU with fewer than 60 hours are required by state law to complete a minimum of 9 hours of summer enrollment at State University System institution in the State of Florida.

Students with 80 or more earned hours who have not completed the Summer Enrollment graduation requirement will be prompted to complete a Summer Hours Requirement Waiver through the To-Do List Feature within Student Central.

  • These waiver requests are typically placed through a university-monitored process in mid-September each fall semester and mid-January each spring semester. They are not placed during the summer semesters while summer coursework is in progress.
  • Students should submit their waiver request by the end of the semester it is initially placed.
