The Enrollment Appointments calendar is published once each semester and details the various periods during which you can enroll for classes.
Before registering for classes, students should make sure they have cleared all holds from their account. Common holds include completing required health modules, signing the student financial agreement or addressing an advising hold. Visit the University Advising website to learn how to view and clear holds.
Students transferring to FSU with fewer than 60 hours are required by state law to complete a minimum of 9 hours of summer enrollment at State University System institution in the State of Florida.
Students with 80 or more earned hours who have not completed the Summer Enrollment graduation requirement will be prompted to complete a Summer Hours Requirement Waiver through the To-Do List Feature within Student Central.
- These waiver requests are typically placed through a university-monitored process in mid-September each fall semester and mid-January each spring semester. They are not placed during the summer semesters while summer coursework is in progress.
- Students should submit their waiver request by the end of the semester it is initially placed.
Students considering a campus location change should consult with their departmental adviser first. Download and complete the Campus Location Change form from the FSU Registrar’s website.
A reserve capacity is a segment of seats that has been held for certain populations of students within a class section, such as those in a specific major, minor, certificate or program. To learn more and view reserve caps, visit the University Advising website.
