Michael Mascagni receives honor from Association for Computing Machinery

Professor Michael Mascagni has been named a 2011 distinguished scientist by the Association for Computing Machinery.

“The ACM Distinguished Member Recognition Program, initiated in 2006, recognizes those members with at least 15 years of professional experience who have made significant accomplishments or achieved a significant impact on the computing field,” the ACM website says. “ACM Distinguished Membership recognizes up to 10% of ACM’s top members.”

In 2011, there were 54 recipients in a total of three categories.
