Members of the Florida State University community can demonstrate their support for the university by contributing to the third annual FSU’s Great Give, a 36-hour online campaign to raise funds for academic programs and scholarships at Florida State.

This year’s campaign, hosted by the FSU Foundation’s Annual Giving department, will take place April 17-18.

FSU’s Great Give allows individual colleges and units within the university to create featured projects. This arrangement provides an opportunity to support new initiatives that may not be funded otherwise. Projects can be viewed online.

In the College of Arts and Sciences, donations to FSU’s Great Give will go toward the James P. Jones Graduate Fellowship. A description of the fellowship, which has a goal of $5,000, follows:

James P. Jones

History Professor James P. Jones has taught thousands of students during a career spanning nearly 60 years at Florida State University. In honor of his lifetime of service to the university, and in recognition of the lasting impact he has made on so many, we proudly announce the establishment of the James. P. Jones Graduate Fellowship, which will support master's and Ph.D. students within the Department of History and will be awarded based on academic merit and financial need.

To make a contribution, visit greatgive.fsu.edu between 9 a.m. Thursday, April 17, and 9 p.m. Friday, April 18.
