Since its installation in 1917 — a joint gift from the Florida State College for Women classes of 1915 and 1917 — the Westcott Fountain has served as an iconic landmark for FSU students and provided the backdrop for thousands of 21st birthdays, graduation celebrations and family photos. During the December 2023/January 2024 winter break, FSU Facilities renovated the area surrounding the fountain to ensure its availability for past, present and future Seminoles.
