Laurel Fulkerson of Classics receives national teaching award
Laurel Fulkerson, associate professor in the Department of Classics, has won the top award in the nation for the teaching of classics at the university level. Fulkerson and two others received the American Philological Association’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Collegiate Level and were honored by their peers at a conference in January 2009. “Dr. Fulkerson represents the best in the Florida State faculty – excellent in the classroom, excellent in research (she recently won a Developing Scholar Award), and excellent in Service,” said Classics Chair Daniel Pullen. “She has been a great asset to our department since she joined it, and I’m pleased to see that her colleagues on the national level have also recognized this.” Read more at http://www.fsu.com/pages/2009/01/20/laurel_fulkerson.html
