FSU’s Great Give 2016: Another way to support the College of Arts and Sciences
This month, for the fifth year in a row, Florida State University will host FSU’s Great Give, a 36-hour online giving campaign in support of academic programs and scholarships throughout the university. Last year’s campaign was a great success, with 1,234 donors contributing a total of $163,320.
This year’s Great Give will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, and continue until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 15. Within the College of Arts and Sciences, donors wishing to support a project with the most immediate and tangible results will have the option of contributing to the Arts and Sciences General Development Fund during that timeframe. This act of generosity produces very tangible results. Among other things, such gifts may enable the college to:
- provide a dean’s match to enhance the value of scholarships, fellowships, student awards, travel grants (both students and faculty), and special projects;
- provide conference support;
- help fund lecture series;
- help fund outreach activities; and
- provide funds to help recruit students and faculty members.
